LECA ENVIRONMENTAL PRODUCT DECLARATION (EPD)
Our LECA Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are now available to support designers and developers in providing a transparent and comparable view of specifying LECA Lightweight Fill (LWA) within structural and geotechnical engineering works.
Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a verified and registered document that communicates transparent and comparable information about the life-cycle environmental impact of products.
Architects and designers increasingly specify products with transparent Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Reports - based environmental impact.
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a transparent, objective report that communicates what a product is made of and how it impacts the environment across its entire life cycle.
When designers and engineers are evaluating sustainable impact - we need to account for the depletion of key resources and it is also critical to evaluate the damages to the ecosystem from both the process of extraction and the produced goods.
For this certain environmental impacts need to considered, and this factors in extraction and specific process are considered:
• eutrophication
• acidification
• ozone depletion
• photochemical
• abiotic depletion
We are pleased to have an assortment of EPDs (below) which provides an EPD guide to LECA Lightweight FIll (LWA) 10-20mm, shipped to the UK.
* Our standards that we use are ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2
To request a project specific EPD based on your project please contact [email protected] and our technical team can provide further guidance.
